Empowering young Australians to be a clear Christian voice
Not everyone in the LGBT community is happy with the proposed NSW Same Sex Marriage Bill 2013.
A cross party working group, comprised of Mr Alex Greenwich (Sydney, Ind), Mr Bruce Notley-Smith (Coogee, Lib), Penny Sharpe MLC (Labor), Trevor Khan MLC (Nats), and Mehreen Faruqi (Greens) have redrafted a Same Sex Marriage Bill that will be introduced in the upper house of NSW Parliament in the next session (SMH, 26/7/13). Both parties have allowed a conscience vote.
However, Community Action Against Homophobia (CAAH) has condemned the bill for marginalising trans and intersex people (Star Observer, 31/7/13).
Organisation Intersex International Australia (OII) President Gina Wilson said the proposed bill was a “same-sex marriage act” rather than a true “marriage equality act”.
What does this reveal?
Those who want to redefine marriage really want to see the natural mum-and-dad family redefined.
In the UK, less than two weeks after the gay “marriage” bill was signed into law, a homosexual campaigner launched a lawsuit against a Church of England parish for refusing to wed him and his civil partner (LifeSiteNews.com, 2/8/13).
There is a war going on against the family – God’s precious creation.
